About

Why conservation became more than just a career path.

I believe the purpose of life is to find a way to leave the world better than you found it. Over time, I realized that the work I found most meaningful was work that helped people, protected ecosystems, and created positive change that extended beyond myself. My passion for conservation comes from a deep interest in restoration, education, and solving human-caused environmental issues that impact both wildlife and the communities connected to these ecosystems.

Through my experiences in conservation work, prescribed fire management, invasive species removal, and wildlife rehabilitation, I have developed a strong appreciation for the interconnectedness of people and the natural world. Whether working in the field or educating others, my goal is always the same: to leave a positive mark and help create a healthier future for both wildlife and humans.

Mission

My mission is to contribute to meaningful environmental restoration efforts that improve ecosystem health and long-term sustainability. I hope to help address human-caused challenges such as altered hydrological flow, salinity imbalance in Florida ecosystems, habitat degradation, and harmful algal blooms like Red Tide. I believe conservation is most effective when people work together, and I have seen firsthand how large groups of motivated individuals can create measurable change. As I often say, “If we all do a little bit, we can sure do a whole lot.”

Vision

I envision a future where conservation is driven not only by science, but also by compassion, collaboration, and education. I hope to continue organizing and participating in projects that bring people together to restore ecosystems and protect wildlife for future generations. Whether through research, field work, outreach, or education, I want the people I encounter to leave feeling a little more hopeful and happy than they were before. I like to think of myself as a daily dose of sunshine, and I hope to use that optimism to inspire others to care about the world around them.
